• N-deethylation of Rhodamine B (Rh-B) leads to Rhodamine-110 (Rh-110) formation. The photocatalytic RhB transformation and degradation are wavelength dependent. mechanism Rh-110 has been revisited. does not involve reactive oxygen species. reaction involves the photoinduced electron transfer between TiO 2. Understanding 2 -assisted phototransformations observed for fundamentally important derivatives is expected bring consistent eventually comprehensive knowledge on behavior this dye. transformations in solution irradiated with visible light embrace an process forming rather than chromophore. was studied first time solid state. In work, influence incident processes involving dyes, presented. results indicate that selection crucial govern pathway degradation. require species, as assumed literature, but adsorbed molecule support, followed by radical dye, plays a key role.
